Challenges that students with disabilities face

Students with disabilities face a number of challenges in the education system. These can include difficulties in accessing the curriculum, limited opportunities for participation in extracurricular activities and a lack of accommodations in testing and evaluation. Additionally, students with disabilities often face discrimination and stigma from their peers and teachers, which can negatively impact their self-esteem and confidence.

Section 504 provides several protections for students with disabilities to help mitigate these challenges. However, despite these protections, many students and their families struggle to secure the resources and accommodations they need to succeed in school. This is where K Altman Law can help.
