K Altman Law at CEC Convention + Expo 2025
A client had a Title IX formal complaint filed against them which alleged they engaged in
behaviors that violated the University’s Title IX provisions of sexual assault, forcible sexual
offense, rape, and fondling. The client selected our firm to represent them in the matter. Our firm
prepared and assisted the client through the entire Title IX investigation process which included
investigative interviews, response statements, gathering and submitting evidence, and a final
hearing. After assisting our client with all aspects of the process, a final determination was made
that our client was not responsible for violating any of the University’s Title IX policies.
Dr. Stewart was fantastic! I felt heard, cared about, and was properly prepared and supported throughout the process. K Altman did miss a major deadline, but I was able to write the answer myself (it was due on a Sunday…gotta love GCU!!!). I do not fault anyone for this because missing a deadline, especially one due on a weekend day, is human.
Overall I AM very satisfied with my service. Dr. Stewart was very professional, prompt, educated, and kind. Kindness can’t be trained. It is innate. Whereas it is very easy to correct missing one deadline. Support, empathy, and kindness go very far with me, and that was what Dr. Stewart gave me. Thank you, K Altman. Dr Stewart is a gem and has left me with a very positive view ofvK Altman as a whole.

K Altman Law proved very responsive to our inquiries for help from Day 1. They were courteous and respectful of the timelines and in scheduling consultation. After consultation we were appointed with our advocate, Mr. Eric Counts. Mr. Counts listened, researched, and combed through all of the fine details of our case, helping us to advocate for academic solutions in line with our son’s proactive IEP planning despite adverse opposition from a key member of the ARC committee. Mr. Counts masterfully articulated our concerns and requests (student and parents) that had been previously ignored by school administrations. Mr. Counts’ expertise, precision, and care delivered the best possible outcome for continuing the success of our son’s IEP annual review and ARC cohesion, alleviating our son’s stress (during the meeting and afterward), as well as our parental stress, in order for our son to step back onto the path to a strong academic finish for the remainder of the school year. I highly recommend Mr. Counts and K Altman Law!
