In this webinar, participants explored the process of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP), two critical tools for supporting students with behavioral challenges. The session explained how an FBA helped identify the root causes of difficult behaviors, and how a well-crafted BIP could provide tailored interventions to encourage positive changes.
Additionally, the webinar covered participants’ rights during the process, helping them feel confident in participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborating effectively with school teams. The session also highlighted recent updates to the guidelines from the U.S. Department of Education regarding FBAs and BIPs. By the end, participants had practical strategies to advocate for their child’s or student’s educational needs and ensure they received the support they deserved.
